With the design of the audio system and fuel access door, adding a tank bag that requires less straps than tying down the Goodyear Blimp was difficult to do. But we did it...and without straps. Our design uses 2B finish, laser cut stainless steel plates; one on the bag and the other on the bike. An aircraft grade quick release pin secures the two plates and allows the bag to swivel up giving full access to your radio and fuel door (only when stopped, please). This design also allows you to remove the bag in seconds for security leaving a small plate with the swivel holes on the bike.
Our bag never touches your radio so surprise audio changes are a thing of the past. The design at the top keeps a fixed space off the bike. The bag makes contact with and rests on the fuel door. Scratches? No! We include a clear, computer cut paint protection panel for the door.
The tank bag's dimensions are approximately 11" long x 8" wide x 5.5" tall (7" tall when expanded). Estimated volume approximately 3.5 liters (6.5 liters when expanded). The tank bag is constructed of a highly water resistant thermomolded EVA nylon material and uses Gore water-sealed zippers. A raincover is included for additional moisture protection during heavy downpours. Seams are bound on the inside and stress points are bar tacked. The tank bag includes a carrying handle, an external lid pocket and a double zipper & clamshell design that offers instant access to all items in the bag.
The optional analog GPS case (map pouch) attaches with 2 simple quick clips in the front and velcro in the back. This allows the map pouch to flip up for bag access.
WARNING: DO NOT install this product on ANY GL1800 with Air Bag. Air bag = no tank bag.
